The Bread of Life

On Thursday, we provided sustenance for our bodies, minds and spirits!

In our new RE Topic: Who is Jesus?, we have been looking at how Jesus is described in the Bible. The first symbol we discussed was from the Gospel of John, describing Jesus as the bread of life.

We talked about how bread is a symbol of what we need to sustain our bodies, minds and spirits. We reflected on how we need to be healthy, knowledgeable and able to ask important questions throughout our lives, and how Christians believe that God provides this nourishment physically, emotionally and spiritually.

In all our discussion, we lived out our Religious Education Vision Statement to:

Be curious.

Be informed.

Be reflective.
