Year 5/6 Girls Cricket

On Tuesday 21st May, St George's took part in the Year 5/6 Girls Cricket, Lewisham School Games competition.

On Tuesday 21st May, St George's entered one team in the annual year 5/6 Girls Cricket event. The event held at Catford Cricket Cyphers, saw teams from all over Lewisham battle it our to take the trophy. Even though the sun was hiding and the rain poured down, this did not stop our tremendous female cricketers, who showed great determination and resilience in very challenging conditions. This meets our P.E vision of:

Be passionate.

Be respectful.

Be determined.

Well done to the whole team, who were great ambassadors to the school. They showed great respect as well as batting sixes and fours all over the park.

Well done to the team, who came third in their group.

We look forward to our next competition, which will be the Year 5/6 boys cricket tournament. Look out for the news article to see how they got on.
