Remembrance 2024

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

At 11 o'clock on Monday, St George's remembered...

At St George's, our vision statement says:

Be brave.

At 11 o'clock on Friday, the whole school came together for two minutes' silence. We remembered those who bravely gave their lives during conflict.

Faith Group displayed their poppy wreaths during our remembrance and led us in silence following the Last Post.

Our Year Six leaders also read the poem 'For the Fallen'.

All pupils observed the silence impeccably and staff were incredibly proud.

At St George's, we value traditions and remembering the past. We know it has helped shape us and can help us to become courageous advocates of the present and the future.

What do poppies symbolise?
