Happy Homes

As part of this term's topic 'Ourselves', the children in the nursery have been thinking about 'Homes'.

We have really enjoyed reading and talking about stories connected with homes, including the brilliant Errol's Garden, a story about  a little boy who is creative enough to build his very own roof garden!

The children have been very keen to create their own homes too, using a range of construction and junk modelling equipment, exploring and trying out  the sizes and shapes needed to make their models.

We  have also thought about who lives in our homes and the homes of our friends, created  home stories using small world, and drawn pictures of who lives in our homes.

Once again the nursery have been living out the  Early Years Vision:

Be an Explorer. Be a Trier. Be a Talker. Be a Creator.

Working with  different construction and shapes to build homes.

Cutting and sticking with junk modelling materials to make homes

Who lives in this home?

Drawing who lives in our own homes

We love these books!
