A few weeks ago, we were delighted to welcome families to our wonderful Arts Fair, and what a fantastic event it was! The school was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated creativity across all year groups.

What a feast!

On Wednesday, our Year 2 children set off on a very special adventure to Holy Trinity Church for the Spinnaker Trust’s Christmas Journey workshop. From the moment they left school, their excitement set the tone for what became a truly fantastic morning.
On Wednesday 19th November, our School Council and Pupil Leaders organised a special Jamaica Fundraising Day to support families affected by Hurricane Melissa.

This week we welcomed families into school for our Open Classrooms, and what a fantastic evening it was!

On 11 November, our whole school community came together in the hall for our annual Remembrance Day Service.

This week, our school celebrated Anti-Bullying Week with the theme “Power for Good.” The children explored how we can use our power positively, for example, the power to be kind and supportive to others.
On Monday this week, children from Years 1 to 6 enjoyed a very special walk to church to celebrate our annual Harvest Festival with Father Richard.
This week, both Reception and Year 1 held their wonderful Reading Café Phonics Workshops — and what a fantastic success they were!

A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Start of the Year meetings. These sessions gave families the chance to hear about what lies ahead now that children are in their new class and year group.

Last Friday, ten of our Year 5 pupils joined Miss Nabila on a trip to St Dunstan's School for a marvellous maths morning full of fun and fantastic problem-solving activities.

On Thursday, we held our second annual Celebration of Arts Festival! There was music, dance, song and, of course, beautiful installations enjoyed in the perfect sunshine.

On Wednesday evening, the Perry Vale Community Art Project was unveiled in a fantastic ceremony that brought together local charities, schools, and community members.

The school was awash with inspirational figures today for Be Brave Day!

Alex Heath, Old College Lawn Tennis Club's Head coach, came to teach year 4 and 5 tennis.

On Sunday 19th May, St George's went to watch the basketball play-off finals at London's O2 arena.

On Saturday 20th April, 20 pupils represented St George's in London's TCS Mini Marathon.

This week, we had a visit from Police Community Support officer, Andrea Woolrych. She talked to our students about personal safety.

Year 6 have community cricket coaches in this half-term!

Once again St George's was visited by Perform with their Drama4all sessions - have a look at our perfect Peter Pan performances!

Year 4 and Year 5 started their Ukulele workshops this week!

On Wednesday 24th May 2023, Alex Heath (Head Coach at Old College) came to teach year 4 some tennis!

This week, we received and planted our wildflower seeds in honour of the King's Coronation.
