A few weeks ago, we were delighted to welcome families to our wonderful Arts Fair, and what a fantastic event it was! The school was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated creativity across all year groups.

Today, our Pupil Leadership Team met with representatives from our catering company to talk about what’s going well at lunchtime and to share ideas for making our lunchtime offer even better.

This week, our school celebrated Anti-Bullying Week with the theme “Power for Good.” The children explored how we can use our power positively, for example, the power to be kind and supportive to others.

Today we celebrated Odd Socks Day, marking the start of Anti-Bullying Week. Students and staff proudly wore mismatched socks to celebrate what makes each of us unique and to remind everyone that our differences are what make our school community so special.

It has been an exciting and busy week at St George’s as we elected our new pupil leaders for 2025–2026.

This week, we proudly celebrated our Golden Table — a special tradition at St. George’s that recognises pupils who go above and beyond in their attitudes and behaviours towards their education 🎓✨.

Pupils and staff at St George's are celebrating receiving a prestigious Silver Artsmark Award, the only creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England.

The children in the Rainbow Room have been busy learning all about animals, including farm animals. To bring their learning to life, they took a trip to Crystal Palace Farm, where they discovered more about different animals, their habitats, and what they eat.

At St George’s Primary School, we love to celebrate the achievements of our fantastic learners. This week, we were thrilled to host a special ‘Golden Table’ lunch, where five children from each year group were selected to enjoy a memorable dining experience with their teacher.

What a great day of sports!
On Thursday, we held our second annual Celebration of Arts Festival! There was music, dance, song and, of course, beautiful installations enjoyed in the perfect sunshine.

On Wednesday, year 2 and year 3 participated in a school concert with different schools in the Lewisham borough.

On Wednesday, children and staff from the Rainbow Room had an amazing trip to the London Sealife Aquarium!

On Thursday 4th July, 8 children went to Wimbledon to watch the tennis!

On Sunday 19th May, St George's went to watch the basketball play-off finals at London's O2 arena.

On Saturday 20th April, 20 pupils represented St George's in London's TCS Mini Marathon.

Today, everyone from Year 1 to Year 6 marched to Church for our annual Easter Service.

Today, Year 3 completed their Lenten Fundraising Challenge, decorating beautifully detailed mandalas in reflective silence.

We are delighted to share our SIAMS Report, following our inspection in January 2024.

We are very lucky to have a dedicated library space within our school run by very keen Librarians.
This week, St George's Librarians ran a cake sale and a raffle fundraiser. Money raised will be used to purchase new books to enhance the library's collection.

Year 3 have been learning about What it is like to be a Jew and parttaking in a Seder meal in preparation for Passover.

Our year 6 Little Leaders have been helping run fun games and activities for our Fit4Life club.

Father Richard led our Eucharist to celebrate the beginning of the year.

With the deadline for Year 5 pupils to commit to our Residential next year, we asked Year 6 to lead assembly and let us know all about the fun to be had at PGL!
