Year 1 Jemison Class had a fantastic trip to the Horniman Museum as part of our science topic, Animals Including Humans ๐งช๐.

This week, Year 1 Jemison have started an exciting new topic in Art all about painting!

Children Complete Another Successful Term of the Daily Mile!

This week, Jemison Class took part in a hands-on Science lesson all about identifying and classifying. Using magnifying glasses, the children explored four different types of trees: Beech, Oak, Scots Pine and Horse Chestnut. They carefully examined each leaf’s shape, size and texture, using these clues to work out which tree it had come from. ๐๐

This week, Jemison Class enjoyed a fantastic Design and Technology (DT) Day all about healthy eating. The children had a wonderful time exploring colourful, nutritious foods and developing important cooking skills.

This week, Jemison Class had a very special visitor! โจ Father Richard from St George’s Church โช came to talk to us about Christian weddings and to show us what happens during a wedding ceremony.

This week in Jemison Class, our Year 1 children have been busy becoming explorers through their imaginations. Inspired by the much-loved story “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” ๐ป, we designed and created our very own adventure maps.
